November E-Newsletter

Message from Your MPP

Dear Neighbours,

We are approaching the end of year 2022 and the beginning of the festival season with celebrations in the air. I am sure everyone got to spend good quality time with family and friends whether it was having a meal together or enjoying the beautiful fall colors over hot chocolate. On October 1st, 2022 my office hosted annual thanksgiving luncheon. I want to thank everyone who were able to join, also want to tell to those who could not make it, “We Missed You”. I really hope next year we all will be celebrating together. These events help us to meet our neighbors and create memories.

On October 24th municipalities across Ontario elected their council. I’m sure everyone was able to cast their vote for the candidate of their choice. I want to congratulate all candidates who got elected to serve their people, and thank everyone for putting their names on ballot, you are the one who carries spirit of democracy.

November 11th is Remembrance Day, at the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month – Canada as a nation, strong and free, will come together to remember and commemorate the men and women in uniform and wears poppies to honor those who sacrificed their lives in service for others. The red poppy gets its significance from the famous poem, In Flanders Fields, written by Canadian Lt. Col. John McCrae inspired by poppies growing beside a grave of a close friend who lose his life in battle. The Poppy is a symbol of remembrance, hope, and the unrelenting spirit of our soldiers in the face of evil and darkness. On Remembrance Day, I would like to invite you to join me at Malton cenotaph 3340 Derry Rd E to take a moment and show our gratitude to our Heroes for the freedom and peace we are blessed with.

Let’s remember.
