Connecting More Ontarians to Primary Care

Our government is dedicated to ensuring all Ontarians have access to the care they need by strengthening primary care and supporting more access to family doctors across the province.

New changes now in effect will help incentivize family doctors to take on new patients, expand access to after-hours care, and improve the recruitment and retention of more family physicians.

These important steps will help connect more people to timely, reliable care close to home while reducing pressure on hospitals and emergency rooms.
