Expanding WSIB Coverage

Our government is taking important steps to better protect Ontario workers by strengthening Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) supports across the province.

No one should have to worry about paying their bills after a workplace injury. That is why we are proposing the first WSIB benefit increase in nearly 30 years, helping injured workers receive stronger financial support when they need it most.

We are also expanding WSIB coverage to protect more than 29,000 frontline workers in long-term care homes. These dedicated workers spend their lives caring for others, and they deserve the security and protection that comes with better workplace coverage.

By improving benefits and expanding support, our government is delivering on our plan to protect Ontario’s workers and ensure they have the care and financial stability they deserve.
