November E News Letter
Message From Your MPP
Greetings Mississauga-Malton,
As the leaves turn to vibrant shades of gold and crimson, we find ourselves in a season of reflection and gratitude. November invites us to slow down and appreciate the warmth of community, the richness of our experiences, and the promise of new beginnings. It gives us meaningful opportunities for engagement, from honouring our veterans on Remembrance Day
to engaging in community events that embody the spirit of giving. We also celebrate occasions such as Diwali, Bandi Chhor Divas, Barbados Independence Day, and Polish Independence Day. Wishing everyone joy and happiness as you celebrate these diverse occasions.
Our government is dedicated to creating a better and brighter future for Ontario by working tirelessly to ensure equal opportunities for everyone. Some of our key investments include; $5 Million in the RAISE program, offering business coaching, training, and grants to over 400 Indigenous, Black, and racialized entrepreneurs, $15.3 Million for 100+
organizations providing safe, inclusive activities for children and youth through sports and recreation and investing $12.75 Million this year to help address the rise of hate incidents and keep communities safe across the province.
A huge thank you to the Mississauga-Malton community for coming out to celebrate Thanksgiving at Illumi. I was ecstatic to see so many families enjoying the night under the beautiful lights.
I look forward to seeing the community gather for the Mississauga-Malton Remembrance Day ceremony starting at 10:45 am on Monday, November 11, 2024, at the Malton Cenotaph, to honour our veterans for the sacrifices they have made to give us the freedom and peace we are enjoying now. Never forget.
Here’s to a meaningful and productive November.
Best wishes,
Deepak Anand

Updates from Queen’s Park
Back in Legislature
Building Highways Faster Act
As the Ontario Government returns to Queen’s Park, I was proud to speak on the issue of highway safety and efficiency. Every day, Ontarians waste their own time, block emergency services and slow the transport of goods.
This proposed legislation offers real, practical solutions to the traffic challenges we face across Ontario. Every day, I hear from families and businesses about the frustrations of gridlock, wasted time, and how this impacts their quality of life. By allowing us to fast-track essential projects like Highway 413 and the Bradford Bypass, this Act means we can cut down on delays, support our growing communities, and improve the flow of goods across the province.
