Ontario Building More Accessible Communities

July 4, 2025

The Ontario government is investing $2.2 million to help make communities more accessible for seniors and people with disabilities. This funding will support local projects that remove physical and social barriers—such as installing ramps, improving washrooms, or creating inclusive programs.

The grants are available to municipalities, non-profits, and community organizations across the province. The goal is to ensure that more public spaces and services are easier for everyone to access and enjoy.

This initiative supports Ontario’s broader commitment to creating a more inclusive province, in line with its goal of achieving full accessibility under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
