Ontario Investing Over $23 Million to Protect Workers in Mississauga
August 27, 2025
I was proud to join Premier Doug Ford and Minister David Piccini at the Ontario Masonry Training Centre to announce that our government is investing over $23 million through the Skills Development Fund (SDF) Training Stream. This investment will help more than 4,200 workers and job seekers in Mississauga and surrounding areas gain the training they need to build successful careers in high-demand sectors like construction, healthcare, transportation, manufacturing, aerospace, and the skilled trades.
This is part of our government’s broader $2.5 billion commitment to the Skills Development Fund. By investing in workers today, we’re preparing people for the good jobs of tomorrow while strengthening Ontario’s economy.
Congratulations to the following Mississauga-Malton based organizations: Achēv, Aircraft Maintenance Engineers Association of Ontario, Bothwell-Accurate Inc., Closing the Gap Healthcare Group Inc., the Ontario Road Builders’ Association, the Pinball Clemons Foundation and Sovereign Construction Management Limited.
